Why to Love the New GMC Terrain

June 5th, 2025 by

The 2025 GMC Terrain is here, sporting an all-new look inside and out, more technology, and more features than ever. This versatile SUV not only has a lot more to offer, but it has the right stuff for everyone here in the Puget Sound. Autoblog recently reviewed a 2025 Terrain Elevation. Its editors pointed out a few good things about it.

It all starts with a fresh exterior look. GMC’s signature style caught the eye of Autoblog’s team as they said that it had “a more athletic stance that shares styling cues from its larger siblings.” For 2025, the addition of a two-tone roof makes the Terrain pop a lot more. Also available for 2025 is the Black Edition, adding black trim and a set of gloss black 19-inch alloy wheels. The sculpted front end and LED lights lead to a clean rear end, making the 2025 Terrain a very attractive vehicle.

Inside, you will find more room than ever. Autoblog took out a measuring tape and found that the head room was great. There is 40.0 inches of headroom up front and 39.2 inches in the rear. The Terrain also offers space to stretch out your legs, measuring 40.6 inches up front and 39.2 inches in the rear. Seating is available for up to five people inside the 2025 Terrain.

Technology and interactivity have also been upgraded, thanks to the standard 15.0-inch Premium GMC Infotainment System. Autoblog was happy to see that the 2025 Terrain offers Google Built-in connectivity, which utilizes apps from Google to manage everything from natural voice recognition through Google Assistant to navigation by Google Maps. However, Autoblog pointed out that you can still wirelessly connect your smartphone device using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

There are now over 15 standard safety and driver assistance features in the 2025 Terrain. Autoblog mentioned a few of these features, noting that they work very well inside the Terrain. These safety and driver assistance features help set the pace on long highway drives, thanks to Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning working together to keep you on the road safe and sound.

With an MSRP starting at $30,000, the 2025 GMC Terrain Elevation makes for a great introduction to our latest compact SUV. However, there is more. For 2026, the Terrain will add the Denali and AT4 trim levels, adding luxury and capability to a great package.
