GM Teams Up with Disney to Add In-Vehicle Disney+ Streaming

Disney and GM have collaborated for over 40 years, beginning with the World of Motion attraction at Walt Disney World in Florida, which showcased the evolution of human transportation from the invention of the wheel to modern automobiles. A more recent attraction is the EPCOT Test Track at Walt Disney World, highlighting the future of transportation before bringing visitors into an exhilarating high-speed race. Of course, GM has also supplied numerous vehicles for characters in its live-action films and television series. Now, instead of GM appearing inside Disney, Disney can appear inside GM vehicles as part of GM’s expanding streaming options for passengers in select vehicles. Valley GMC shares more details.

GM’s OnStar connectivity program already allows you to stream your favorite Hulu, Tubi, YouTube, YouTube Kids, and ESPN on the rear seat-facing screens of select GMC, Chevrolet, and Cadillac SUVs. Now, they have added Disney+ to the lineup, offering not only the great catalog from Disney studios but also the entire collections of Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and even National Geographic. While the driver might be relaxing with the SuperCruise system, even a coast-to-coast round trip won’t come close to running out of captivating entertainment for kids of all ages in the back seats. You can even choose holiday classics for holiday road trips, including A Muppets Christmas, The Santa Clause movies, Home Alone, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and 46 others.
Disney+ and its streaming content is available on 2025 and newer Yukon and Yukon XL models. It requires an eligible OnStar plan, starting at $19.99 per month, as well as an active Disney+ subscription through which customers can simply log in with their account. Of course, OnStar includes more than streaming services, such as:

- Automatic Crash Response: During a crash, OnStar automatically connects you with an advisor, who can dispatch emergency services to your location even if you can’t respond.
- Roadside Assistance: Press the blue button to connect with an advisor for help with flat tires, running out of gas, or other breakdowns.
- Stolen Vehicle Assistance: If your car is stolen, OnStar collaborates with law enforcement to help track and recover it.
- Emergency Services: Advisors can assist in other emergencies, including medical crises, and can connect you with first responders.
- Remote Commands: Use the OnStar mobile app to remotely start your vehicle, lock or unlock the doors, or locate your car in a parking lot.
- In-Vehicle Wi-Fi: A built-in hotspot enables passengers to stream, work, or stay entertained while on the move.
- Turn-by-turn Navigation: Get spoken, step-by-step directions to lead you to your destination.
- Vehicle Diagnostics: Get monthly reports on your vehicle’s health to help prevent unexpected breakdowns.
