The EV market may have slowed a bit in 2025 compared to the previous year, but only by two to four percentage points. With 1.3 million units sold, 2025 was the second-largest EV sales year in history. All this is to say that the initial surge may have slowed, but EVs are not going away. Manufacturers are looking at where the market is headed and planning their EV strategies accordingly. Meanwhile, one of the most important steps is to make on-the-road charging more accessible and convenient, so Valley GMC is pleased to tell you that GM and Electrify America have collaborated to do just that.

GM has made charging at Electrify America stations a single process that can be handled by the MyGMC, MyChevrolet, or MyCadillac apps most GM owners already have on their phones. There is no need to juggle multiple apps, as using their own vehicle app, GM EV drivers can:

  • Find charging stations nearby with real-time availability
  • Plan routes and identify charging stops along the way
  • Monitor charging session status
  • Pay for charging sessions directly in the app

There are more than 5,000 Electrify America fast-charging stations across the country, including Hyperfast 350 kW chargers for vehicles that can accommodate that charging speed, such as the Hummer EV PickupSUV, and Sierra EV models. Across the U.S. and Canada, GM drivers can access more than 250,000 public charging stations.

“We’re collaborating across the industry to deliver not just more chargers, but better public charging experiences,” said Wade Sheffer, Vice President, GM Energy. “Our work with Electrify America helps make public charging easier to access for GM EV drivers.”

The best EV experience remains the ability to charge at home, where you can easily approach your vehicle at the start of the day, complete your day-to-day activities, and come back home, ready to charge again, with no interruption to your routine and the ability to set your charge times for when they are most efficient. But expanding on-the-road charging and making it more convenient enhances the usability of your EV.

“As EV travel continues to grow, so does the need for convenient charging experiences,” said Robert Barrosa, CEO and President of Electrify America. “Through this integration, GM EV drivers have more Hyper-Fast chargers to choose from and a seamless experience they can count on nationwide, helping them get to the places that matter.”

EVs have a strong future in the US, and GMC currently has some of the most exciting EVs on the market. Consider how an EV can fit into your life and check out the GMC EV models at Valley GMC.
