Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Drive For the Cure
Every October, our team looks forward to supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month in a way that feels true to who we are: neighbors helping neighbors. This year, it is hitting home more than ever as we have one of our own Valley family members fighting breast cancer. We’re honored to once again to partner with The Valley Girls & Guys, a local Auburn-based organization that puts heart into action for families right here in our community.
Why It Matters in Auburn
Cancer isn’t something that only happens somewhere else—it touches families here in the South Sound every day. From teachers at Auburn High to small business owners downtown, we’ve all known someone fighting this disease. That’s why Valley GMC is stepping up during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month to give back in a way that drives impact.
👉 For every test drive taken during our Drive for the Cure event, we’ll donate $10 to The Valley Girls & Guys to support families facing cancer.
About The Valley Girls & Guys
Since 2007, this incredible local organization has been lifting up cancer patients and their families through financial assistance, emotional support, and community-driven programs. Their impact is felt everywhere:
-
Financial help: Covering treatment costs, mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies for those uninsured or underinsured.
-
Local support programs: Comfort blankets, scholarships for students, and retreats like Casting for Recovery.
-
Research funding: Contributions to Seattle Children’s Hospital and UW’s Cancer Vaccine Institute.
-
Community unity: Their signature Be The Hope Walk brings people together across Auburn and beyond to raise awareness and funds.

Valley GMC’s Commitment
At Valley GMC, we believe in making car dealerships about more than just cars. We’re proud to stand alongside The Valley Girls & Guys because their mission reflects our own values: family, trust, and community. Whether it’s helping a parent get to treatment, giving a teen scholarship after loss, or funding early detection for someone who might not otherwise have access—these are the ways we strengthen the South Puget Sound region together.
Join Us This October
Come take a test drive in a GMC Terrain, Sierra, or Yukon and know you’re part of something bigger. It’s about more than checking out a new vehicle—it’s about driving hope forward for families in our neighborhood.
