Sierra Elevation Grade Hits the Sweet Spot
Even once you have narrowed down your pickup truck choice to the GMC Sierra 1500, there are seven trim levels from which to choose. It can be daunting, but Valley Buick GMC suggests you start by considering the Elevation trim, which hits a sweet spot between having the things you want without getting too far out in price. It is available in all Double Cab and Crew Cab configurations. The engine choices include:
- 2.7-liter Turbo High-Output engine with the 8-speed automatic transmission
- 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine with the 10-speed automatic transmission
- 3.0-liter Duramax® Turbo Diesel engine with 10-speed automatic transmission
And, of course, you can choose rear- or four-wheel drive. So there aren’t many restrictions with this trim level. Valley Buick GMC offers these reasons to consider the Sierra Elevation:
Upscale Exterior Appearance
The Elevation marks a significant step up in exterior appearance, starting with its 20-inch 6-spoke high-gloss black alloy wheels, which match the black grille. Front and rear body-colored bumpers further enhance the upscale appearance, and LED fog lights complete the picture.
Enhanced Interior
Like the SLT below it, the Elevation is equipped with the 13.4″ diagonal GMC Premium Infotainment System with a Google built-in operating system. This system includes wireless compatibility for both Apple and Android smartphones. In addition, the Elevation is the first trim level in the lineup to offer dual-zone climate control, which allows the driver and front passenger to set temperature levels as much as 30 degrees apart. For greater convenience, the Elevation includes the rear seat storage package that folds one or both rear seat cushions up for more floor space and access to under-seat storage.
Available Front Bucket Seats
You can still get the front bench if needed, but the Elevation is the first model in the lineup to offer the comfort of front bucket seats. The center console provides several conveniences between the seats, including cell phone storage, wireless charging for compatible phones, and two USB power/data ports with a cord management system. The console also includes file holder capacity and a removable storage tray. Available within the console storage is a lockable safe that hides and protects any valuables you don’t take with you as you leave.
Available Sierra Safety Plus Package
The Elevation is the first model available with the Sierra Safety Plus Package, which includes several features to make the Sierra more convenient and even safer to operate. Features of this package include:
- Rear Cross Traffic Braking
- Trailer Camera Provisions – Provides the ability to effectively “see through” the trailer behind you.
- Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert – Extends the blind zone to match the trailer dimensions
- HD Surround Vision- Provides a 360 view of the vehicle as if seen from above. It helps locate obstacles by doors that are otherwise unseen and shows you if you are parked within the lines of a designated shop.
- Perimeter lighting
- Rear Park Assist – Provides alerts to notify you of nearby detected vehicles and objects behind your vehicle to help you park and avoid collisions.
- Rear Pedestrian Alert – Help alert you to detect pedestrians directly behind your truck.
More available Features
In addition to the front bucket seats, the Elevation can be ordered with the 7-speaker Bose premium audio system featuring the Richbass® woofer. Also desirable is the power sunroof and bed view camera, which does just as it sounds so you can make sure your load is secure from the driver’s seat.
Many of Elevation’s available features are standard on upper models like the SLT and especially the Denali. Still, the Elevation is good about letting you choose what is important to you and not opting for others. If that kind of choice appeals to you, visit Valley Buick GMC and see the Elevation models we have in stock.
