Rave Review for the 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate
If you know anything about GMC or spend any time around the GMC vehicles in the Valley Buick GMC inventory, you know that the name “Denali” denotes the top of any GMC model line. The Yukon actually goes a step further with the Denali Ultimate model. Enthusiast site The Detroit Bureau spent some time with this top-shelf Yukon model and liked what they saw.
The features that separate the Ultimate from your “run-of-the-mill” Denali are relatively few, with the highlights being:
- Exclusive Vader Chrome Accents
- Select Bright Accents to Complement its Dark and Distinguished Look
- Exclusive 22″ Denali Ultimate Wheels
GMC’s Super Cruise feature is still an option, but according to The Detroit Bureau, it is “well worth the $2,300 price tag” They mention that while SuperCruise already worked pretty well when it was introduced in 2017 on select Cadillac models, it was mostly limited to Interstates and major highways. Now SuperCruise covers approximately 400,000 miles in North America and now includes non-divided highways. It’s SuperCruise, not SuperSnooze, so you are still expected to have your head up and eyes toward the road. But it is a true hands- and legs-free system that can even go around and pass vehicles without your intervention. The site mentions other ways SuperCruise has improved from its beginnings: “...Super Cruise engages faster, handles more changes, and disengages more smoothly when you want to take control. This is an A+ driver assistance feature and a big reason to consider the Yukon over other brands’ full-size SUVs”.
They state that the 10.5-inch infotainment touchscreen works well, and had particular praise for the color head-up display and the 18-speaker Bose audio system, which includes speakers in the front seat headrests.
Having made Denali models for a while, the reviewers state that where the interior is concerned “GMC knows luxury” and gave particular praise to the “leather with topstitching that recalls a well-kept baseball glove” as well as the open-grain wood.
With an independent rear suspension, magnetic ride control, an electronic locking rear differential, and air ride suspension, The Detroit Bureau described the Denali Ultimate as quiet and composed, though clearly still a big SUV. They weren’t oblivious to the price but thought it perfectly reasonable, particularly when compared to more expensive but similarly equipped models like the Cadillac Escalade.
If you cover a lot of miles with plenty of people and/or cargo on board, the GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate with SuperCruise sounds like the best way to go about it. You can find one here at Valley Buick GMC, so consider coming by for a test drive.
