2026 GMC Sierra EV

Performance 

The Sierra EV is powered by two electric motors – one at each axle. The Elevation trim can be purchased in either Standard or Extended range batteries, while Denali Is available in Standard, Extended, or Max range, and the AT4 is available in Extended or Max.  

The base Elevation trim level offers up to 645 horsepower and 765 lb-ft of torque in Extended range. The Denali model with the same battery capability offers equal power with 785 lb-ft of torque. However, when going for the Max range option, the Denali will pump out 760 total horsepower. The AT4, which is the most off-road ready of the Sierra EV trims, offers 625 horsepower in Extended range and 725 with the Max range batteries, and 775 lb-ft of torque.  

You also have options when it comes to charging your Sierra EV. You can enable a Level 2 charger that can be installed at home, or you can also plug it in wherever you are – including using around 195,000 charging locations across the country. Using an 800-volt DC Fast Charger, it can recoup up to 116 miles of range in just 10 minutes. The EPA has estimated that the Elevation trim will achieve 410 miles of range, while the Denali and AT4 models can drive up to 478 miles on one charge. 

When it comes to towing, the Sierra EV is rated at a maximum of 12,300 pounds. 

One of the most innovative features on the Sierra EV is its 4-Wheel Steer system with the GMC-exclusive Crab Walk. When you need to get out of a tight spot or take a tighter curve, 4-Wheel Steer can do so while you are going at a lower speed. Crab Walk is enabled when you need to get around a tight maneuver or in between an obstacle. The rear wheels are set to point in the same direction as the front ones to achieve those maneuvers.  

Denali models feature an Air Ride Adaptive Suspension that helps soften and level the ride under load.  

Exterior 

Available in a four-door Crew Cab, the body is designed to integrate the cab with the box. The result is a flowing design that is built for rigidity and aerodynamics. 

It also enables a feature never seen on a GMC – the MultiPro MidGate. The portion that separates the cab from the box can be removed along with the rear glass to create a 10-feet, 10-inch-long cargo loading area. This also enables the back seats to be folded down to accommodate longer loads. It only takes about 20 minutes to set up and put down. The Sierra EV also comes with the six-function MultiPro Tailgate, which increases your cargo management options. When fully deployed, it makes access to the box much easier by just stepping up.  

For those times when you need to do some work, Power Station Pro is available to plug in your tools, equipment, or lights for the camping site. Inside the box is the 10.2-kW unit that can run 220-240-volt items. While using the Ultium battery, you could power up your home’s essential devices and services for up to 21 days when your Sierra EV is properly equipped.  

In case you need more space, there is an eTrunk up front that loads right at the bumper. There is 15 cubic feet of space that has a power-operated and secured hood to hide your valuables.  

For 2026, GMC has added new colors that buyers can choose from, including: Glacier White Tri-Coat Metallic, Coastal Dune, Deep Bronze Metallic, and Magnus Matte.  

Interior 

Inside, you have space for five people to ride comfortably and quietly. There is a modern cabin that offers everything you will find inside of the Sierra 1500 and more. That includes an 11-inch digital information center with an instrument cluster.  

Denali models offer the sun, the moon, and the stars with their fixed glass roof. You can enjoy the scene above you while settling into its signature Denali seats. You are wrapped in luxury as expected in a Denali model. The GMC Sierra EV seats up to five comfortably across all grades.  

You can also experience excellent sound through the available 7-speaker Bose Premium Sound System, found standard on Denali models. 

Technology 

The nerve center of the Sierra EV is the 16.8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. This touchscreen also features Google Built-in, which enables native apps by Google for navigation and other functions. 

Wherever you are, you can keep tabs on your Sierra EV from the MyGMC app on your smartphone. The app can enable you to use remote features, such as Start/Stop, Lock/Unlock, Schedule Start, Locate Vehicle, and Vehicle Status Check.  

Safety 

You also have at your fingertips our available Super Cruise driver assist technology, the innovative hands-free driving system. The system can steer, accelerate and brake without the need for the driver to intervene. It can also execute safe lane changes on its own. 

Plus, the Sierra EV has the available High-Definition Surround Vision. It is a 360-degree camera that helps ensure you are able to maneuver your pickup truck into parking spaces with ease.
