2026 GMC HUMMER EV Pickup

Performance

GMC offers two configurations for the 2026 Hummer EV Pickup. The base powertrain includes two electric motors with 570 horsepower, while the upgraded tri-motor variants see 1,000 horsepower. As with previous models, the EV has a range of performance goodies and tech features that make it more thrilling to drive. The Watts to Freedom feature helps the Hummer achieve staggering acceleration numbers, and it offers launch control and other features. 

Going fast is a blast, but the Hummer Pickup also maintains a good amount of capability. Towing reaches 12,100 pounds and payload is rated at 1,300. Tri-motor variants offer a lower maximum towing number than their dual-motor counterparts. The EPA hasn’t released range numbers for the 2026 model yet, but the previous version could hit up to 318 miles with the dual-motor setup and up to 312 miles with three motors.   

Two batteries are available, including a 20-module pack with 180 kWh and a 24-module pack with 205 kWh of usable capacity. Additionally, the Ultium technology’s advanced 800-volt architecture gives it 350-kilowatt fast-charging capabilities, which can add 100 miles of range in as little as ten minutes.  

While the Hummer EV is a huge vehicle, it offers clever features that help with maneuverability. Some models have four-wheel steering, which greatly reduces its turning radius, and tri-motor models can send power to a single wheel when needed. The pickup offers 13 inches of suspension travel, too, and it can climb 18-inch verticals with ease.  

The one-pedal driving mode acts as an off-road cruise control system, handling braking and accelerating while allowing the driver to concentrate on steering inputs. Terrain Mode incorporates braking and one-pedal driving systems to assist with heavy terrain, and the regenerative braking system can slow the vehicle to a complete stop. Four-wheel steering also enables a Crab Walk function, which lets the vehicle travel diagonally with all four wheels turned.  

An available Extreme Off-Road Package adds:

Exterior

Looking at the 2026 GMC Hummer EV Pickup, it’s easy to see its connection to the rugged off-roaders that built the name. It features a five-foot bed, a Multi-Pro tailgate, and an assisted tailgate that makes loading gear a breeze. GMC offers wheels ranging from 18 to 22 inches, and the Carbon model has unique two-tone carbon fiber wheels. In the front, the Hummer EV offers a frunk with 11 cubic feet of storage, and the pickup has a removable sky panel roof system.

Interior

The Hummer EV Pickup seats five people in an expansive cabin with two-tone upholstery. GMC equips a digital gauge cluster, and the front-cabin ergonomics are great for front passengers. All displays and controls are within easy reach, and the front seats afford an excellent seating position with great outward visibility.  

Technology

Every 2026 HUMMER EV Pickup includes a large 13.4-inch diagonal screen that, in addition to the expected infotainment duties, has an in-vehicle Energy App that displays energy use, can set up charging schedules, monitors battery temperature conditioning, and more. It can also display information about the 2026 HUMMER EV Pickup’s selectable capabilities and provide performance readouts in off-road driving scenarios, including ride height, eLocker engagement, compass headings, pitch/roll status, and more.  

There is also a trail mapping function that helps you plan and navigate off-road driving adventures, including charging locations and their distances from off-road locations. It also provides real-time energy consumption information. The truck is available with four removable “Sky Panels” that can be stored in the frunk. The tailgate swings to the side to reveal a 48-inch-wide cargo opening. 

The newly available Power Station generator offers significant external powering capabilities to power off-road adventures and more. With enhanced vehicle hardware, the 2026 HUMMER EV Pickup can jump charge another electric vehicle at 240v/25A/6kW and power a variety of equipment and accessories at 120v/25A/3kW. 

Safety and Driver Assistance

Most notable among the driver assistance features is a free 3-year trial of Super Cruise, which allows true hands-free driving on up to 400,000 miles of compatible roads in the US and Canada. Super Cruise even includes an automatic lane change feature. For roads not covered by Super Cruise, there is standard adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and both lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist.
